I’ve never reported a bug before. How do I do it?
Reporting a bug is easy! If you encounter a bug that you want to report, here are the steps:
- Go to bugs.mojang.com
- Sign up for a bug reporting account or log in if you already have one
- Search to see if someone has already submitted your bug
- If this is a new bug – great! It’s time to make a bug report
- Describe the bug. For example: “Pillagers don't have any arms if they aren't carrying a crossbow.”
- Describe how our developers could reproduce the bug. For example:
- Spawn a pillager
- Spectate it – it has no arms!
- Attach some screenshots if you’d like
This is a screenshot taken from a bug report. It shows a pillager without arms - a bug which has been fixed
Look! No arms!

Look! No arms!
And that’s it! Your bug then gets sent to our developers, and they work to fix it. And THAT’S the story of how all the Overworld’s pillagers got their arms back!
If you'd like more help on creating bugs, we have a more in-depth guide as well.
But really – thank you to all our players who take the time to raise bug reports to us. You are an important part of what makes Minecraft the game it is today – and we appreciate you.
The pillagers do, too.
